Easter Camping Games
Easter is usually one of the first holidays of the year that families get together to celebrate, and if it's nice enough, you can celebrate outdoors. If you've got little ones that enjoy hunting for Easter eggs, here are a few Easter egg hunt ideas, with a little twist.
Easter Egg Color Hunt
Assign each child a specific color of egg to find. If they find an egg that is not their color, they need to leave it and move on to the next. Make sure they know to not point out to the other kids when they find someone else's egg either. Parents may need to help out on this one depending on the age of the kids. The first one to find all their color eggs wins a prize! (And because kids sometimes have a hard time coping with loss, make sure you have enough for them as well.) It's a great way to keep just one kid from collecting all the eggs.
If you want to get creative and have your egg hunt at night you can have a Glow Hunt. Just fill colored easter eggs with glow sticks and make it a night time Easter egg hunt. Parents definitely need to monitor this and follow with flashlights so no one trips and falls in the dark.
Easter Egg Treasure Hunt
Turn your egg hunt into a treasure hunt. Assign each child a color egg to hunt for. Draw them a map to their first egg, giving them clues such as "take 10 bunny hops to the right" and "find the tree with a crooked trunk" to get to their next egg. Their last clue leads them to their treasure, or Easter basket filled with goodies.
Adult Easter Egg Hunt
Kids can't have all the fun! Have an adult easter egg hunt complete with mini bottles of wine/champagne or liquor. Hide the plastic bottles all over the campsite or yard and set the parents loose! But make sure you wait until all the kids have had their egg hunt first.
