Oklahoma’s Haunt the River
Looking for something fun and exciting to do outdoors this fall? How about a little spooktacular fun on Lake Overholser in Oklahoma City. Come enjoy some great outdoor activities for the whole family at “Haunt the River” sponsored by Riversport Adventures. Open weekends through November 1st, with special events Halloween weekend, the Lake Overholser boathouse has fun fall events for the whole family.
Haunt the River has an abundance of different land and water activities for all ages. For the land goers , test your adventurous side on the Sky Scream; a thrilling high-flying double zip line that spans across the lake. You can also test out your agility on the Candy Corn climb and spider climb. Really get your heart racing with the Dead Man’s Drop; a bungee jump like thrill where you’ll experience an 80 foot free fall before being slowly lowered to the ground by your safety harness.
Then, head over to the water and check out the Kreepy Kayak Zone and Spooky Stand Up Paddle Zone. Make your way up the Sand Ridge Sky Trail, the tallest adventure course in the country. Take in breathtaking views of the Oklahoma City skyline from atop the sky trail, then make your way back down to Earth on the 72 foot sky slide.
Along with all the spooky Riversport Adventures visitors can also partake in face painting booths, story telling and pumpkin decorating. There is also a concession stand on site serving up your favorites including fresh s’mores!
Haunt the River takes place the weekend of Halloween and will be open Fri, 5pm-10pm, Saturday 1pm-10pm, and Sunday 1pm-8pm. Prices vary depending on the activities you partake in. An all day pass for Friday is $25 per person/$ 40 with Sky Scream; Saturday/Sunday is $35 per person/$50 with Sky Scream.
